A calm, coastal sensibility underpins this contemporary residence, where soft geometry and restrained material choices come together to create a home defined by light, openness, and quiet refinement. The project balances a confident street presence with an interior that unfolds gradually, revealing a series of connected yet carefully articulated spaces.

The architecture balances form and material through a clear, cohesive dialogue. Externally, smooth white render, curved edges, and rhythmic arches create a sculptural yet soft façade, while vertical screening adds privacy, depth, and filtered light to the upper level. Internally, the palette shifts to warmth and texture, with light timber floors, curved joinery, and pale stone unifying the open-plan living areas. Arched openings echo the exterior, and large sliding doors extend the space outdoors, strengthening the home’s indoor–outdoor connection.

he outdoor kitchen alcove presents a refined moment of detail within the project.
A softly curved niche, finished in a muted textured surface, is subtly backlit to emphasise its form without overpowering the space. This gesture transforms a functional element into a focal point, while integrated joinery and restrained material transitions maintain cohesion with the interior. The curve not only references the architectural language seen throughout the home, but also creates a sense of enclosure and intimacy within the broader open setting.
This residence stands as a thoughtful exploration of how architectural restraint can produce spaces of lasting quality. Rather than relying on overt gestures, the design is grounded in proportion, repetition, and material consistency, allowing the architecture to reveal itself gradually through movement and occupation. The recurring use of curves across façades, openings, and joinery establishes a unifying language that softens the overall form while lending the home a distinct identity. Equally important is the way the project responds to lifestyle and climate. Generous openings, filtered light, and a seamless connection between interior and exterior spaces support everyday living while maintaining a sense of privacy and calm.
The interplay between smooth rendered surfaces, warm timber elements, and finely detailed stonework results in interiors that feel both refined and welcoming, avoiding excess in favour of clarity and balance. Ultimately, the project succeeds through its coherence. Each element, from the street-facing elevation to the most intimate internal detail, feels deliberately considered and intrinsically connected to the whole. It is a home that prioritises longevity over trend, offering a quietly confident architectural outcome that is as functional as it is visually resolved.
